This retreat will be led by one of our Céile Dé teaching team. You can find more information about our team of Céile Dé teachers in the UK, Europe and the USA at this link https://www.ceilede.co.uk/company/teachings
The path of the Céile Dé is an ancient oral tradition which has its roots in both Native Gaelic Spirituality and the earliest expression of Christ-consciousness in the Celtic lands.
The tradition has at its heart a deep faith in, and celebration of, the transformative power of love. The inter-connectedness of all life and esoteric practice rooted in the turning of the seasons, or 'Wheel of the Year', are also core elements of this ancient path.
During this weekend retreat, you will have a taste of Céile Dé spiritual life, which is largely contemplative and nurtures a deep and devotional relationship with the Great Mystery - The Invisible Beloved, Whose Face is Everywhere...
We will share ... sacred Gaelic prayers and chants (sometimes chanted during walking meditations in nature) ... times of silence, meditation and contemplation ... and teachings handed down from ancestors who understood only too clearly what it means to walk a path towards spiritual transformation, whilst being fully engaged in the busy-ness and demands of daily life.
This two-day, non-residential retreat also offers the opportunity to experience the rare purity of some ancient spiritual teachings and practices which are still only ever taught in person, and are never given by video or available as an online course.
For example, during the weekend, you will have the chance to learn an 'Oran Turais'. This is a Gaelic term which refers to a group of sacred Gaelic prayer songs that are chanted, with accompanying movements, whilst walking in meditation. This practice will be presented as it has been for over a thousand years - a personal teaching from the heart of an ancient oral tradition.

Some other teachings of the tradition which we will explore together include:
~ The “Cauldrons” - energy centres that receive and “cook” our life experiences.
~ Join in chanting "The Fuinn" - beautiful and ancient Gaelic sacred chants of devotion - and learn how to work with them.
~ Explore the practice of “Fégad” - the art of “Watching” and learn how Céili Dé work with this fundamental transformative principle .
“Until the Witness has entered our world, we are unaware of the fullness of our existence; we cannot know Life More Abundant"
~ An insight into the esoteric way Céili Dé work with specific practices designed to bring us into balance with the earthly, the psychological and the mystical.
~ Discover more about how we meet and practice together:
~ Our community which we call the “Caim” (“the Encirclement of Grace”), our group meetings and ongoing teachings.
