Terms and Conditions
, including Terms and Conditions Parcevall Hall 2024
HEALTH AND WELLBEING
All retreatants are responsible for looking after their own health and wellbeing, and holding an awareness of the wellbeing of others, including the staff at Parcevall Hall who will be looking after us during our retreat.
Since the pandemic, we do our best to address any potential concerns about Covid in the way we arrange our Céile Dé retreats in the UK. Obviously, we are now in a very different place to where we were three years ago, but there are still many different views on how best to live with the presence of Covid. We hope that you will feel that our approach is respectful of everyone's needs – including the staff at Parcevall Hall.
While many people now have very few concerns about Covid, we do have people in our community with health conditions that make them particularly vulnerable to viral infection infection of all kinds. So we would ask any participant to be mindful that there may be others attending the retreat who have health issues, and to make sure that you are in good health before you come to the retreat - or as far as that is possible for any of us to be sure!
If you become unwell during the retreat, please make this known to either Lesley or Julie.

CANCELLATION:
Cancellation by retreatants: if for any reason a retreatant has to cancel their attendance at the retreat, please let Teinntean know as soon as possible, so we can offer the place to someone else. The closer the cancellation is to the start date, the less likely it will be that we will find someone able to take your place. If a retreatant cancels their booking, we are only able to refund their final payment if we are able to fill their place.
We recommend that you investigate Travel Insurance to cover you for this event.
ATTENDANCE - PLEASE BE PRESENT FOR THE FULL RETREAT
1. Please be present for the whole retreat. Late arrivals and early departures disturb the làthar of the retreat for everyone. Arrival is from 4pm (no earlier please) on Wednesday 20th March; please arrive in time for dinner which is at 6pm.
2. The retreat ends with lunch on Sunday 24th, which is at 12.30pm. If you really need to leave early to catch a train or plane, you could leave after the final session (which ends at 12). We have to be out of the building by 3pm at the latest (though there is nothing taking place after lunch).
BURSARY FUND
1. We'd like to remind you too, of the Bursary Fund. If anyone feels it will be difficult to meet the full cost, this fund is there specifically for them. And in fact coming to a retreat with the help of a bursary benefits the whole Caim, both because of your own precious contribution to the làthar, and because fuller attendance makes a retreat more viable.
When the Teinntean team hires Parcevall Hall on behalf of the caim, we commit to paying for 17 rooms even if some caimeachs do not attend, leaving some rooms vacant. By making use of the bursary fund so that you can attend you are not only fulfilling your commitment to your spiritual path, you are also supporting the rest of your community.
Application is completely confidential. Those who handle bursaries do know what it is like to struggle financially, so rest assured they will understand and no judgements will be made .
